Stephen Mosher /
Broadway World Cabaret
She got her start as an actress, growing up in the suburbs of Chicago and immersing herself in theater. Her first roles, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, ignited her love of musicals and Broadway shows from an early age. This sent her on a winding journey to USC Drama School and subsequent roles in L.A. in television and theater productions. After time away from performing to raise a family, her creative spirit led to a rebirth as a cabaret performer, the perfect blend of her singing and storytelling talents.
Her re-entry was sparked at the St. Louis Cabaret Conference where she worked with legendary performers like Jeff Harnar, Marilyn Maye, Faith Prince, Peisha McPhee, and renowned music directors Christopher Denny, Tedd Firth, Michael Orland and Alex Rybeck.
She’s since become an active and vibrant member of the cabaret community in New York City, studying with the likes of David Friedman, Lina Koutrakos, Gregory Toroian, Lennie Watts, Alix Korey, Kenneth Gartman and Patrick DeGennaro.
Her desire to connect with audiences above all else has gotten her the attention of reviewers and sold-out crowds across some of NYC’s best cabaret venues, including the Laurie Beechman Theater. Linda is also a fixture in master classes, cabaret workshops, and streaming performances.
Linda’s latest show, a memoir about the power of giving in to life’s opportunities (called “Say Yes!”) has moved audiences and gotten strong reviews from Broadway World, Cabaret Scenes, Cabaret Hot Spot and A Woman About Town. To watch her perform is to reflect on your own life and decisions, and to forget yourself at the same time while floating in the music and power of Linda’s song.
